One Rabbit, a Very Large Sky
In many cultures the rabbit stands for luck, gentleness and quiet curiosity — a modest animal that tends to keep close to the ground. Skybound gives it a different role. Here the rabbit is the one in charge, holding the lines of five kites and steering a spread of colour many times its own size.
The composition is built on a long diagonal. The rabbit, painted in white, stands in the lower-right corner of a deep navy dial, one paw raised to its strings. The kites fly high in the upper-left corner in purple, yellow, red, green and pink, the only colour in the design. Between them, the strings cross the dial and pass straight through its centre, so the hands turn on the very line that connects the rabbit to its kites.
Everything else is left open. There are no numerals and no markers, and the navy around the figure reads as a night sky, deep and still. That open space gives the design its balance: playful at first glance, restrained on a second look. Every element is hand-painted, and the result is a dial about imagination, freedom and the quiet thrill of being in control of something far bigger than yourself.
